Sarah is the Director leading the Cleantech for UK initiative, building up two coalitions of cleantech and policy leaders to scale up sustainable innovation in the UK. Before joining Cleantech Group, Sarah spent 11 years working for the UK civil service, primarily in energy and innovation policy and legislation. She began her career as a research associate working on carbon capture and storage. Sarah has a degree in Environmental Science, a PhD in Isotope Geochemistry and a Master’s in Public Policy.

Charlie Garner is a Policy Associate at Cleantech for UK, where he advocates for regulatory and policy changes that enable cleantech investors and innovators to scale clean technology across the UK. Before joining Cleantech for UK, Charlie was a Policy and Development Manager at a low-carbon heat network developer. He has also held positions at the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Carbon Capture and Storage Association (CCSA), focusing on industrial decarbonisation and the built environment. Charlie holds a degree in Marine Environmental Science and a Master’s in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh.
